Students – “Servants and Heroes”

WHO ARE WE?

It’s challenging, if not impossible, to define something that is constantly in motion.  Our school has no fixed form or structure, no set of rules to adhere to, no dogma or doctrine to believe in.

Our textbook is the whole of life, our lessons drawn from the unique crossings of people, places, and circumstances that we find ourselves in.  At the heart of our school is a teacher, Justin, who serves as our “suggestor.”  He suggests possibilities to explore and pitfalls to beware of on our way.

While no two lives can follow the same track, we come together as a community of people with a common wish to uncover, and discover, the purpose of our lives.  In our pursuit of truth, we question the concepts and assumptions handed down to us by our culture and society.  In our search for self-knowledge, we act as mirrors for each other in order to see ourselves as we are, without distortion or imagination.

We use techniques and methods to study and remove the obstacles that obstruct our view of our connection to our source, to that experience of God that we’ve lost or become separate from, which can be experienced in meditation.  Sharing these lofty and beautiful aspirations, as well as laziness and inconsistency, we encourage and support each other to aim high and seek to fulfill our deepest dreams because we have a sense that such effort is needed and important now — not only for our own personal salvation, but because the world needs it.

Since our studies emerge from the content of our lives, what we do depends on the current interests and talents of the individuals who are here.  Our activities range from building, gardening, social work, travel abroad, caring for kids, playing rock ‘n’ roll music, tending the land, hiking, camping, art, and dancing. Needless to say, there is never a lack of interesting and original happenings going on here.

As students of consciousness, we use a growing number of fresh perspectives and methods developed by Justin that take into account the unique conditions of today’s fast-paced and highly sophisticated world.  Some of our exercises have a long history, and would be recognizable to seekers of truth from times past.  What is different, and exceptional about our school, is that our practice of moving towards greater understanding is not restricted to specific times and activities.  Wherever we are, whatever we’re doing, we have a tool or point of view to help us expand.

Many of us live in a rural area of northern California with our teacher, Justin.

PUPPET THEATER OF CONSCIOUSNESS – VIDEOS

DELIGHTFUL, CHARMING, BRILLIANT, WISE, AND “BARS AF” – MUST SEE!

These puppets have traveled the world entertaining children and uplifting their spirits in difficult times. During the pandemic in 2020, the puppets found a new purpose – to pass on their wisdom and understanding to adults through videos. The puppets demonstrate in small ways in daily life – higher consciousness, awareness and compassion for others. The wisdom that comes through the puppets is inspired by J Jaye Gold and his students. You will see the puppets in different parts of the world entertaining children at http://www.ccns-inc.org.
