Justin has lived a bold and varied life on the way to becoming an American spiritual master. As a young man in New York, his interests included boxing, poker playing, and breezing thoroughbreds. He has owned and run restaurants, done financial consulting, built houses, raised children, and traveled much of the world.

He has been dedicated to the study of human behavior for over 40 years. He investigates life in our fast-paced, technology-filled culture with subtlety, humor, and perspective, passing on his discoveries and assisting students in removing the obstacles to their natural state—a prerequisite to meditation on the Light and Sound that maintain all life.

Justin strives to preserve an element that he considers precious – maintaining opportunities for developing an actual teacher/student relationship.

He is currently living in the Sierra foothills of Northern California where he lives together and works with several dozen seekers of truth. Students in this dynamic community engage in and learn from all aspects of life—gardening, playing rock and roll, doing service projects, etc.

Justin is also the founder of the Center for Cultural & Naturalist Studies (ccns-inc.org), a California non-profit organization that offers disaster relief in the U.S. and works with underprivileged families worldwide.

He is available to anyone who seeks his guidance and has never asked to be compensated for his help, either monetarily or otherwise.

“Could someone who miraculously found themselves on top of Everest show you how to climb to the top? Of course not. They wouldn’t even know how they got there. I have climbed through all the problems, plans, and relationships that you face and have made it through to freedom, and if you have the intention, I can teach you how to do the same.” – J Jaye Gold
